The Stewarton & District Historical Society is a group of enthusiastic volunteers who aim to make our history accessible to both the local and wider communities. If you would like to join our team fill out an application form HERE
Our mission is to record and preserve the history of our local area, which includes, Stewarton, Kilmaurs, Dunlop, Kingsford, and Fenwick
After 44 years in our small upstairs museum, in the Town House, Avenue Square, Stewarton, we have now moved to our large ground floor premises in the local Stewarton Area Centre
It is situated just round the corner from Avenue Square and is accessible to all. It boasts more space for visitors, displays and storage of exhibits.
We now also have an I.C.T area which will allow visitors to access our array of photographs, maps, school records, videos and music of Stewarton and District.

Stewarton and District Historical Society and Museum is a registered charity wholly run by volunteers.
If you would like to become a “Friend" of the Society please consider a donation to allow us to continue our work.
Thank you!
